Susan Shopmaker cast John Cameron Mitchell’s SHORTBUS (Cannes 2006) and HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. She also cast Robert Altman’s TANNER ON TANNER for The Sundance Channel. She served as Casting Director on Tim Disney’s AMERICAN VIOLET (Telluride 2008, Samuel Goldwyn), Michael Kang’s WEST 32nd STREET, and Kang's Sundance 2005 feature and Independent Spirit Award nominee THE MOTEL .

Most recently, Susan was the New York Casting Director on Disney’s ENCHANTED directed by Kevin Lima; Nancy Meyer’s SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE (Columbia/Warner Bros) and THE HOLIDAY (Columbia/Universal); and Mark Waters’s MEAN GIRLS (Paramount), SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES (Paramount), and GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST (New Line). Susan also worked on the Wachowski Brothers’s SPEED RACER (Warner Bros.), JUSTICE LEAGUE, and searched for Daniel Craig’s "Bond Girl."

Susan executive produced and cast Antonio Campos's AFTERSCHOOL, which debuted at Cannes in 2008, screened at the The New York Film Festival, and was recently nominated for both Gotham and Independent Spirit awards.
